Bridal Shower Game Ideas
1. Gift Registry Bingo (a.k.a. “Shower Bingo”, “Bridal Bingo”, “Bride Bingo”, “Gift Bingo”) is the latest trend in wedding shower games. Watching someone else open gifts for an hour is dull for the shower guests, and they feel obligated to fake ooh’s and ahh’s over items like towels and Tupperware sets. Gift Registry Bingo injects life into the party by making the gift opening portion interactive. Each guest receives a bingo board with the purchased registry gifts scrambled onto the tiles. As the bride-to-be opens a gift, the guests mark that off their bingo board. Instead of sitting idle, the guests now participate and often cheer for “All I need is ‘spoons’, open a small one!” etc. This is a must have game at any shower.

2. The Newlywed Game puts the bride-to-be in the hot seat and is sure to have the guests laughing. Before the shower begins, ask the groom-to-be 10-20 questions about his relationship. Then, during the shower, ask everyone to guess how well the bride-to-be knows her groom. Have everyone take a guess as to how many questions she will get right. Ask her the same questions that you asked the groom earlier and give her one point for each answer she guesses correctly. Some question ideas are: "What was the first thing he said to you?". "What is his favorite....music group, color, and so on", “What is he most looking forward to about marrying you?”, “What is he most dreading about marrying you?”, "How old was he when.... he had his first kiss, etc."
3. Advice to the Newlyweds is an easy keepsake game. As people come in to the shower, ask them to take a blank notecard, write their name on it, and write a piece of advice for the newlyweds. At any point in the shower, you can either read aloud all of the advice cards, read just the sentimental ones, or (our favorite) read off just the funniest ones. You can put all of the completed advice cards in a decorative box for the bride-to-be to save as a keepsake.
4. How Well Do You Know the Bride and Groom is a fun quiz game. Create a list of 10 questions about the couple such as “How did the couple meet?”, “What is their song?”, “How did he propose?”, “What college did the bride attend?”, “Where does the groom work?” etc. You can make it either fill in the blank or multiple choice. It’s a great way to have fun while learning about the newlyweds-to-be!
5. Scrambled Words Game is a fun brainteaser to play in a group. Give each guest a list of scrambled words such as marriage, husband, wife, bridesmaid, groom, bride, honeymoon, etc challenge them to unscramble as many as they can in 2-3 minutes. The guest that figures out the most correctly wins the prize.
